Welcome! My name is Michael Minotti.

Instructional design is an artform. Similar to carpentry or metalwork, there is a craft to designing a supported, functioning, and enjoyable learning experience. With a knowledge of learning theories and best practices, an agile mindset, and a love for helping others, I can be the key to unlocking your organization's learning potential.

I have over 8 years of professional experience in curriculum development and learner-centered instruction. However, as a musician, my teaching experience is greater as I have been teaching music lessons to all ages for over a decade.

I am a strong proponent of active communication and strive to create an environment conducive to completing the tasks at hand. I specialize in a variety of learning models including cooperative, collaborative, and project-based learning. My current goal is to synthesize my knowledge of cooperative and collaborative learning with gamification.

Outside of the ID realm, I am a nerd at heart and have always enjoyed crafting puzzles and games for others. I also enjoy hiking, imaginative stories, drumming, traveling, and delicious food.
